AMANDA LUDONGA
I am counsellor registered with Council for Counsellors in South Africa (REG N0:CO 20967)
and an experienced behavior technician. With 8 years of experience in providing ABA
therapy in South Africa and around the continent. I hold a BA (Psychology) degree from the
University of Pretoria as well as a Bachelor of Social Science (Honors) from Walter Sisulu
University. I also work as a volunteer counsellor at Lifeline Pretoria.
My counselling approach is based on the person-centred approach, it is aimed at
providing a safe space for individuals to comfortably expresses a range of complex
emotions that they might be experiencing. The goal is to help the client explore these
feelings and to navigate thoughts and behaviours that the present and past hurdles
might evoke.
The behaviour approach is aimed at improving the lives of individuals living with autism
spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disorders. With principles rooted on
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), I offer 1:1 Client based intervention sessions,
Academic/Remedial support and Individualized learning programs.
I am fluent in English, IsiXhosa and Isizulu.
