MANOKO MOGOROGA
Manoko completed her Master of Social Science in Counselling Psychology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and registered as a counselling psychologist with the HPCSA (PS 0133060).
She has post qualification training in HIV/AIDS awareness information.
Her past clinical experience include working with adults, adolescents, children and varied tertiary student population during her training as a student psychologist at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and intern psychologist at the Tshwane University of Technology.
She has also worked as a counselling psychologist at Fisha Wellness Psychiatric Hospital. She currently works as a practitioner at the Tshwane University of Technology.
Her interests include working with individuals, couples and groups on varied issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, HIV/AIDS, trauma, bereavement, marital problems, relational and attachment problems, career counselling and study counselling.
She offers both brief and long-term therapy and applies evidence-based interventions, which are interventions that have good research support for their efficacy. She often uses cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Solution-focused therapy and Brain-working recursive therapy (BWRT). She also considers other therapeutic approaches based on the client’s needs.
She works in English, Sepedi, Setswana, IsiZulu and minimal in Xi-Tsonga and Tshivenda.
