THAPEDI J. MOFOKENG
Thapedi Mofokeng is a registered Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
He holds a Master of Commerce Degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of South Africa. He is also registered with the SABPP as a Master HR Professional.
In addition to his career in psychology, he is a devout Christian leader who has done extensive work in Christian counselling. He has facilitated both pre-marital
and marital counselling, and individual spiritual counselling. He also has interest in men’s mental health and wellbeing.
He has worked in several corporate organisations and economic sectors as a Human Resources professional both in generic and specialist roles.
He has been a custodian of employee wellbeing over the years which prepared him to assist clients with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, burnout, grief, stress and trauma. He also has interest and experience in career management and counselling. In dealing with clients, he inspires holistic wellbeing.
He offers psychological assessments (including reporting and feedback) for career counselling, coaching, selection and development, and team effectiveness. In assisting clients, he adopts a trauma informed approach and integrates various techniques including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
(ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Thapedi is proficient in English, Sesotho, Sepedi, Setswana, TshiVenda, isiZulu, and isiXhosa.
